CHARISMA DAILY DEVOTIONAL
SUNDAY 22 NOVEMBER 2020
CHRIST IS KING OVER THE WHOLE UNIVERSE
Scriptural Reading: Rev. 17:14, 19:16
Today is a day of joy and glory as we celebrate Jesus as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Every time we march round the streets in honour of his name, it gives us hope that one day Jesus will visibly come and reign over the entire universe. He will bring an end to our persecutions.
Christians are today facing more persecution than ever; the systematic mistreatment of Christians is on the increase and these are manipulations from the kingdom of darkness. Christians are persecuted by family, colleagues, friends, associates and the larger society. In some countries, even governments are involved. Why is this so? The answer is simple, we are the apple of God's eye, and the kingdom of darkness is very jealous of that fact.
How a Christian responds or reacts to persecution is very important. Christ did remind us that we will be persecuted but that God will help us. This simply means that God is in all our challenges and we will be victorious. So beloved, continue in prayers and stand tall for you will come out of that persecution without a scratch.
MEDITATION:
How do you handle persecution if they come your way?

DAILY PROPHETIC PRAYERS
Lord, you are my Shepherd there is nothing I shall want. You make me lie down in green pastures. You also lead me beside the still waters. Lord, you restore my soul and lead me on the path of righteousness for your namesake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadows of death, I shall fear no evil. For you oh Lord are with me in all situations. Your shepherd rod comforts me with signs and wonders, deliverance and protection in the victorious name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
For this reason, I shall neither stumble nor fall. I shall not be a victim of accident, sickness, diseases and untimely death. I shall rise above every limitation and rejoice as you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You oh Lord have anointed my head with oil and has declared to the hearing of my enemies; “Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm”. By the reason of your anointing upon my life oh Lord, my cup overflows with grace, mercy, uncommon favours, divine uplifting and your blessing that makes rich and adds no sorrows in the mighty name of Jesus.
Surely, your goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord, forever and ever in the most powerful name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
PRAYER TO ST MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL AGAINST THE FORCES BEHIND COVID - 19.
Holy Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebukes him, we humbly pray, and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
WE PRAY WITH ST JUDE THE PATRON OF DIFFICULT CASES AGAINST THE SPREAD OF CORONA VIRUS
O most holy apostle, Saint Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honoureth and invoketh thee universally, as the patron of hopeless cases and things almost despaired of.
Pray for me, who am so miserable. Make use, I implore thee, of that particular privilege accorded to thee, to bring visible and speedy help where help was almost despaired of.
Come to mine assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolation and succour of Heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly...
(insert your prayer request here, especially the menace of COVID - 19 Pandemic)
...and that I may praise God with thee and all the elect throughout eternity.
I promise thee, O blessed Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favour, to always honour thee as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to thee. Amen.
