CHARISMA DAILY DEVOTIONAL

FEAR OF NOT BEING LOVED
Scriptural Reading: Rom. 5:7-9
Most times we think that God's love for us is conditional. We think that because of our ungodliness, our sinfulness and other weaknesses, God's love for us will be weakened. But God does not have the nature of man. While we were still sinners, Christ was given over to death that you and I might be saved from eternal death. This is an unparalleled love, far exceeding human norms; loving sinful, rebellious, unpleasant and unworthy people. You and I know that it is difficult to love an enemy but that is what God has done for us in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour.
Can you now see that there is no need to be afraid of not being loved by God? He loved you even before you were born. It is rather your turn to respond to this love. Yes, it is your turn to respond. Moses said to the Israelite: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might”. Jesus also called this the greatest commandment. Can you now see that Jesus' hand is already spread for a warm embrace and welcome back in response to the love which he has already lavished on you?
MEDITATION:
What does the death of Christ mean to you?

DAILY PROPHETIC PRAYERS
Lord, you are my Shepherd there is nothing I shall want. You make me lie down in green pastures. You also lead me beside the still waters. Lord, you restore my soul and lead me on the path of righteousness for your namesake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadows of death, I shall fear no evil. For you oh Lord are with me in all situations. Your shepherd rod comforts me with signs and wonders, deliverance and protection in the victorious name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
For this reason, I shall neither stumble nor fall. I shall not be a victim of accident, sickness, diseases and untimely death. I shall rise above every limitation and rejoice as you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You oh Lord have anointed my head with oil and has declared to the hearing of my enemies; “Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm”. By the reason of your anointing upon my life oh Lord, my cup overflows with grace, mercy, uncommon favours, divine uplifting and your blessing that makes rich and adds no sorrows in the mighty name of Jesus.
Surely, your goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord, forever and ever in the most powerful name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.
PRAYER TO ST MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL AGAINST THE FORCES BEHIND COVID - 19.
Holy Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebukes him, we humbly pray, and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
WE PRAY WITH ST JUDE THE PATRON OF DIFFICULT CASES AGAINST THE SPREAD OF CORONA VIRUS
O most holy apostle, Saint Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honoureth and invoketh thee universally, as the patron of hopeless cases and things almost despaired of.
Pray for me, who am so miserable. Make use, I implore thee, of that particular privilege accorded to thee, to bring visible and speedy help where help was almost despaired of.
Come to mine assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolation and succour of Heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly...
(insert your prayer request here, especially the menace of COVID - 19 Pandemic)
...and that I may praise God with thee and all the elect throughout eternity.
I promise thee, O blessed Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favour, to always honour thee as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to thee. Amen.
